 From Foundation to Maturity: Evolving your RIM Program with AI Readiness

This two-day intensive workshop is designed for Records and Information Management (RIM) professionals seeking to build/refine their expertise and implement best practices in their organizations. Led by seasoned subject matter experts, this session goes beyond foundational concepts to focus on strategies, tactics, and tools for optimizing RIM programs.

Participants will engage in in-depth discussions and hands-on exercises covering critical topics such as leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini) to:

  • Ensure compliance with evolving RIM standards

Join us for an intensive two-day workshop exploring the newly updated ARMA International Information Governance Implementation Model (IGIM) v2.1, released in April 2025. This deep dive will explore the entire model, its uses, and unpack what’s new in version 2.1 to examine broader shifts in the information governance landscape. Whether you're new to InfoCon or a seasoned IG professional, this workshop is designed to elevate your understanding and practical application of the IGIM.

From Resistance to Engagement: Rethinking IG Policies

Successful policy implementation is achieved by obtaining willing cooperation from others, not by forcing obedience. Too many IG policies are written as if the opposite were true, resulting in resistance and discouraging people from speaking up when they run into problems.

Sound policies advance the agenda of leadership, survive scrutiny from regulators, and earn the engagement of the people they govern. Whether the organization is updating its retention schedules or building a framework for governing AI, getting there requires the ability to recognize and address weaknesses that undermine policy design.

Through practical exercises and real-world examples, you’ll examine how changes in policy structure and language can demonstrably reduce development time, accelerate approvals, and improve engagement.

You'll leave with:

  • a practical method for identifying wording that unintentionally signals distrust or triggers resistance

ARMA Volunteer Leadership Training

The chapter leadership training is an interactive training program for current and future ARMA chapter and volunteer leaders. This program will be presented by the Chapter Advisory Committee to assist ARMA’s leaders with skills that support their roles, enhance their leadership, and build their networks.
