We do recommend you dress in layers as temperatures in meeting rooms can vary. Social events take place in the evening when the weather cools down, so be sure to bring appropriate clothing options such as a shawl or light sweater for traveling in-between venues.

Themed Events Alert!

The Across the Eras: The Journey to InfoCon Welcome Reception and the Across the Eras: VRC Welcome Party at The Duce on Sunday, October 19 are both themed events. Come dressed to represent your favorite decade; from the rock ’n’ roll spirit of the 1950s to the bold looks of the ’80s, the digital boom of the 2000s, or even a vision of the future!

Please refer to the Social Networking Events section for details on these two fantastic events!

Airport Ground Transportation

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), dubbed America's Friendliest Airport, is the main airport for the Greater Phoenix area. Sky Harbor serves more than 120 domestic and international destinations. With 1,200 daily flights - about 500 of them nonstop - Sky Harbor is one of the most convenient airports in the United States.

The airport is located in the middle of Greater Phoenix, less than 10 minutes from downtown.

RIDE APP PICKUP

Uber, Lyft, and other ride apps can only pick up in specific curbside zones at PHX. These zones are clearly signed as “Ride Share Pick-Up.” After you’ve collected your luggage, open your app and it will confirm your exact pickup door number.

Here’s what to expect by terminal:

  • Terminal 3 (all airlines except American & Southwest): After baggage claim, go downstairs to Level 1 (Arrivals). Look for signs pointing to “Ride Share Pick-Up.” Pick-up areas are located along the outer curb on both the north and south sides of the terminal. The north side pickup is at the far east end; the south side pickup runs most of the curb.
  • Terminal 4 (American & Southwest): From baggage claim, go to Level 1 (Arrivals) and exit either the north or south doors. On the north side, ride app pickup is at the far west end, near Door 1. On the south side, pickup zones are marked at Doors 2, 6, and 8. These areas are set a little away from the main flow of curb traffic, so follow the overhead signs or app prompts to the right door.

Tip: PHX is a busy airport, so curb traffic can be hectic. The app will tell you which island/door number your driver will meet you at - double-check the license plate before getting in.

Ride Apps serving PHX are:
Uber, Lyft, Wridz, Waymo, HUM

LIGHT RAIL

There is a dedicated stop on the Valley Metro Light Rail at the Phoenix Convention Center, making travel to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport very convenient.

Directions to Phoenix Convention Center from the Airport:

  • Take the free PHX Sky Train from Level 3 of Terminal 4 to the 44th Street PHX Sky Train Station.
  • From there, take the elevator or escalator down to the platform of the 44th St/Washington Valley Metro Rail stop.
  • If you are traveling from Terminal 3, take the free black and silver PHX Airport Shuttle to Terminal 4 and then proceed to Level 3 to connect with the PHX Sky Train.
  • The PHX Sky Train and Airport shuttles are designed for travelers with luggage and run seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

OTHER GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Parking Information for Drive-Ins

Parking at the Phoenix Convention Center is first-come, first-served, so planning ahead is your best bet. ARMA InfoCon will be in the North Building, which has its own underground North Garage at 475 E Monroe Street – this is the closest garage for that building. Prefer to lock in your spot early? You can reserve parking in advance through ParkPHX for guaranteed access.

If the North Garage is full, adjacent options include the East Garage (601 E Washington St) and the West Garage (185 N 2nd St), both within convenient walking distance. Be sure to check metered street parking too - but watch the meter hours and rates.

Arrive early when possible. During large events, traffic and lot capacity can become constrained fill up quickly.

Social Networking Events

ARMA InfoCon is not all work and no play!  In additional to offering stellar education, we have planned some exciting networking events that are sure to provide enjoyable breaks from the conference hustle while giving you an opportunity to build lasting relationships with peers.

Across the Eras: The Journey to InfoCon Welcome Reception
Sunday, October 19, 5:30pm - 7:00pm | Expo Hall

Step into the Vault and celebrate seven decades of InfoCon! Since the very first conference in 1955, ARMA has brought professionals together to advance records and information management, and this year, we’re honoring that journey Across the Eras.

Come dressed to represent your favorite decade; from the rock ’n’ roll spirit of the 1950s to the bold looks of the ’80s, the digital boom of the 2000s, or even a vision of the future! The Vault will be alive with energy, where eras collide, stories are shared, and new connections are forged.

This reception is the perfect kickoff: a chance to honor our history, enjoy the present, and step boldly into the future of the profession. Don’t miss it - doors to the Vault open soon!

Across the Eras: VRC Welcome Party at The Duce
Sunday, October 19, 7:00pm - 10:30pm | The Duce (offsite)

The celebration continues at The Duce as we take the Across the Eras theme beyond the reception and into a full-blown party! Inspired by ARMA’s Vault and its legacy of advancing information governance through the decades, this is your chance to show off your favorite ARMA “Era” or decade -  from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, to the 2000s -  or dare to leap forward into the Future!

Whether you arrive in disco glam, neon brights, grunge flannel, or futuristic metallics, the Welcome Party promises to be a vibrant time capsule of ARMA’s journey and the people who make it possible.

What to Expect:

  • Live music that takes you on a tour through the eras
  • Era-inspired cocktails crafted to match your look and mood
  • Food favorites from The Duce’s legendary airstream kitchen
  • Photo moments and surprises that capture the spirit of each decade

Shuttles will run from the convention center starting at 7pm and will return to the conference host hotels. If you are staying at a property other than a host hotel, you will need to arrange your own transportation back from the shuttle stops.

Expo Hall Pub Crawl
